Ferrari unveiled a new masterpiece – the 12Cilindri supercar with a V12 of 830 hp.
The Italian company Ferrari has declassified its new supercar called the 12Cilindri. It will replace the 812 Superfast and will receive a naturally aspirated V12 engine, which is precisely what the name of the car hints at. The price starts at 395,000 euros.
The Ferrari 12Cilindri is available in two versions: a coupe and a spider (convertible). The design of the model is made in a completely different style, which stands out significantly among other current supercars of the brand. For this, we should thank the company's chief designer Flavio Manzoni, who was able to combine retro and futurism in the exterior of the 12Cilindri. The headlights are made in the form of parallelepipeds, and the lower part is complemented by narrow LED strips of daytime running lights. Between them, a glossy black insert is installed, visually uniting the front optics blocks. The same solution was used on the old Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona of the 70s.
The interior is two separated cockpits for the driver and passenger. There are three screens on the front panel, one of which is a 15.6-inch “dashboard”, and the other two with diagonals of 10.25 (in the center) and 8.8 (in front of the passenger) inches – a multimedia system. There is also a new multi-wheel with signature long gearshift paddles, a red mode selector and many other buttons. A high-quality Burmester audio system consisting of 15 speakers with 1600 watts is optionally available.
However, the most interesting thing is the technical characteristics of the car. The design is based on a completely new aluminum chassis, which, together with other cast components, made it possible to increase the rigidity of the body by 15% compared to the 812 Superfast. In addition, the front-engine supercar received an improved control system for all four wheels independently of each other. Under the hood is an atmospheric V12 with a volume of 6.5 liters. This is a new version of the naturally aspirated V12 engine, which develops 830 hp at 9,500 rpm and 678 Nm of torque at 7,250 rpm. The coupe accelerates to “hundreds” in 2.9 sec, and the spider – in 2.95. The second “hundred” takes 7.9 and 8.2 sec, respectively. The maximum speed is 340 km/h. At the same time, both versions are equipped with active flaps in the rear, which increase downforce at speeds from 60 to 300 km/h. An 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox works in tandem with the engine. The drive is exclusively rear.
