The new generation of the Porsche Cayenne SUV will be declassified on August 29 this year. At first, the company will present a version with a turbocharged V6 engine, and in two weeks at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it will show a version with a turbocharged V8.

After some time, versions with a “mild” hybrid power plant will appear, in which the electric motor will be assigned the function of a starter and power supply for additional consumers. The top-of-the-line model will be the Porsche Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid with a power plant from the hybrid Panamera with a capacity of 680 hp.

But the premiere of the diesel version was decided to be postponed until the passions in connection with the new Dieselgate subside. Let us recall that the German Ministry of Transport banned the company from selling diesel Cayennes in the country until their software is modernized.

Porsche took the evolutionary path in updating the exterior of the SUV: the Cayenne is the company's best-selling model, and radical changes could scare off potential buyers, especially owners of current-generation cars.

The most visible changes are concentrated in the front: the Porsche Cayenne will have a seriously changed radiator grille, which will receive chrome horizontal stripes. Apparently, the designers decided to bring the Cayenne closer to the company's passenger cars, but for now it looks like… Volkswagen.

But the interior of the SUV will be completely transformed. It will feature a virtual instrument panel based on a widescreen, the arrangement of buttons on the front panel and central tunnel will completely change, and a new infotainment system will appear.

The new generation of Cayenne is built on the MLB Evo platform, which gave life to the current Audi Q7 and Bentley Bentayga. This means that the SUV will be significantly lighter, which will lead to increased efficiency.
