Ferrari unveils new flagship hypercar F80
The Italian brand Ferrari unveiled the F80 hypercar, which will become the new flagship of the brand's lineup. This is a hybrid with a 1,200-horsepower installation, which makes it the most powerful road-going Ferrari in history
The car received a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with a capacity of 900 hp and 850 Nm of torque, as well as three electric motors, two of which are installed in the front, and the last one is integrated into the gearbox. The total power is 1200 hp. The engine works in tandem with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The F80 accelerates to the first “hundred” in 2.15 s, to 200 km/h – 5.75 s. The maximum speed is 350 km/h.
The design is based on a carbon fiber monocoque with aluminum subframes. The double wishbone suspension and shock absorbers were partially printed on a 3D printer. The length of the supercar is 4840 mm., the wheelbase is 2665 mm., and the model weighs only 1525 kg.
In terms of design, there are classic notes, thanks to the square body elements. The front part is made in the style of 12Cilindri. There are two seats inside, but all the comfort goes to the driver. Even the company noted that such a layout corresponds to 1+. In total, it is planned to create 799 copies of the Ferrari F80. The start of production is scheduled for 2025.
