The Ferrari F80 was originally not supposed to have a passenger seat
After the presentation of the Ferrari F80, many noticed how little attention the company paid to the passenger seat. As it became known, when designing the car, it was not supposed to be there
This was stated by Ferrari's chief designer Flavio Manzoni, noting that initially they wanted to give the successor to LaFerrari more extreme proportions, making a narrow cockpit. And yet, Ferrari figured out how to make the F80 interior both “selfish” and not deprive the passenger at the same time. In the published photos of the hypercar’s interior, you might have noticed that the second passenger seat is significantly different from the driver’s and is made in black, due to which it is visually separated from the cockpit.
It would be interesting to see such an F80 if the engineers had implemented the original idea. In addition, it would have been possible to additionally lose excess weight, which in the end amounted to only 1,532 kg.
