Ford Mustang Mach 1 Power Revealed
The Ford Mustang lineup will get a Mach 1 version by the end of the year, which will receive a five-liter V8 engine with a capacity of 525 horsepower
The name Mach 1 is traditionally used to designate “Mustangs” that occupy an intermediate position between purely “civilian” versions and “charged” Shelby models. It is known that the new generation Mustang Mach 1 will be equipped with the most durable and track-ready version of the naturally aspirated five-liter V8 engine. In addition, it will receive different suspension settings and more powerful brakes. Now, as reported by Ford Authority with reference to insiders, the power of the Ford Mustang Mach 1 has become known.
Actually, it will be 525 horsepower and, probably, thus, the Mach 1 will replace the Shelby GT350 version by the end of the year. The last time the Mach 1 name was revived was in the early 2000s: then the Mustang was equipped with a 4.6-liter “eight” with a capacity of 309 horsepower. The body of the pony car was decorated with attributes from the 1970s: racing stripes on the hood and a matte black spoiler.
