The most powerful Ford Mustang GTD unveiled
Ford has unveiled the new most powerful version of the Mustang. It received the GTD index and is equipped with an 815-horsepower V8, which made it the most powerful in the history of the model
To be more precise, the Ford Mustang GTD is equipped with an upgraded 5.2-liter V8 with a capacity of 815 hp and 900 Nm of torque. This unit was equipped for the first time with a dry sump lubrication system, which ensures an uninterrupted supply of oil regardless of driving conditions, thereby preventing oil starvation of the engine. In addition, the intake and exhaust systems were redesigned, and a DRS system was added, which can automatically adjust the angle of the rear wing and activate the flaps in the front part. Dynamic characteristics, except for the maximum speed of 325 km/h, are still unknown, but the company claims that the GTD is also the fastest Mustang.
You can recognize the new version by the advanced aerodynamic body kit. Otherwise, the appearance corresponds to the current generation. The first tests of the model are planned for the Nurburgring this year. Engineers hope that the GTD will be able to complete a lap in 7 minutes.
