On the eve of the Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche presented the third generation of the Porsche Cayenne crossover. The crossover, which appeared on the market 15 years ago, is externally almost indistinguishable from its predecessor.

The new Porsche Cayenne is easiest to distinguish from its predecessor at the rear: it has thin lights with a long red LED strip on the tailgate. The front bumper and hood have been revised, and matrix headlights can now be installed in the headlights for an additional fee.

At the start of sales, the new Cayenne will be available with a 3-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 340 hp, which replaced the 3.6-liter “aspirated”. With it, the crossover accelerates to “hundreds” in 6.2 seconds. The S version received a 2.9-liter turbo unit from the new Panamera with a capacity of 440 hp. With the Sport Chrono package, acceleration to the Cayenne S takes less than five seconds. The maximum speed is 259 km/h.

The new generation received an all-aluminum body. Despite the abundance of technical stuffing, with practically the same dimensions, the third Cayenne has become 65 kg lighter than its predecessor.

The interior is almost completely borrowed from the Panamera. There are practically no physical buttons here, they have been replaced by sensors. In the center of the dashboard is an analog tachometer, on the sides of which are two 7-inch screens.

In Russia, orders for the new Porsche Cayenne will start in January next year.
